<p>You should start with a cardio regimen before you do anything else. You cannot see how well your stomach is developing if there is a lot of fat on top. Sadly, heavy and regular cardio is the absolute only way to reduce stomach fat. Thankfully, there are a lot of things that can make up a cardio work out. You can run, dance, swim, or bike&#8211;do anything that gets as much of your body moving as possible. Make sure you are sweaty at the end. This is an indicator of a good workout, not how long you spend doing it.</p>
<p>Not everyone can devote a large chunk of time to getting in shape. Changing your lifestyle in small ways can help. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Do not drive anywhere that is close enough to walk. Get in a stationary bike or even just pace around your living room while you watch television. Any sort of movement will be better than sitting idle and can slowly chip away at your fat, though nothing beats excellent diet and regular intense exercise.</p>

Your knees should be bent so your calves run parallel to the floor. At the same time, lift your shoulders slightly up off the ground and bend your legs in toward your elbows.</p>
<p>Sit ups can be bad for stomach fat because if you do it wrong and do not suck it, sit ups will not create lean muscle. It will make more bulbous muscle that will push your stomach out more. With the fat on top of it, your tummy will end up looking a lot bigger than it really is. You want to go for lean muscle.</p>
<p>Once the crunches have become an easy habit, you should do something to vary them. Get a rubber exercise ball and use that instead of laying on the floor. It is very comfortable and allows you to target different muscles. The only difference is that your feet will be on the floor instead of up at an angle. You are laying back on the ball and just lifting your shoulders off it while still tightening your abs.</p>
<p>You lie back on the ball with your legs straight out to hold you steady on the floor. You then will lift your shoulders back in the same way, only your knees will not come up to meet you. This angle will provide more toning for you.</p>

Many, however, do not understand the history behind this Mexican holiday. If you ask the average American why Cinco de Mayo is celebrated, they will tell you it is Mexican Independence Day. They are wrong. That actually falls on September 16.</p>
<p>During the 1950s, the United States had a program called The Good Neighbor Policy that encouraged Americans to reach out to our neighboring countries. Cinco de Mayo was first introduced to Americans at this time. In the 1960s, Chicano activists made the holiday more visible as a method to inspire cultural pride among Mexican-Americans.</p>
<p>By the time the 1980s rolled around, the holiday had been slowly growing in notoriety. Throughout this decade&#8217;s commercialism, Cinco de Mayo had been advertised as an excellent holiday to devote to drinking alcoholic beverages from American companies. It is because of these companies that Cinco do Mayo had become mainstream in American culture, although the true meaning of it, to celebrate Mexico&#8217;s victory against the French in 1862, was diluted.</p>
<p>Becoming more of a mainstream holiday has exposed more Americans to the traditions of our Mexican neighbors. Their wonderful music, foods, and traditions have made their way into our lives. A large part of our society anticipates the Cinco de Mayo holiday each year.</p>
<p>Cinco de Mayo has become a wonderful reason to indulge ourselves with margaritas, nachos and all things Latino. You can get all dressed up in bright traditional clothing, grab some sombreros, throw a Mexican flag up on the wall, hang dried chilies around the house and just have fun. The schools teach about this holiday, so have your children share what they have learned and incorporate it all into your celebration.</p>
<p>Some people throw big parties on May 5th. It&#8217;s not a holiday reserved just for Mexicans anymore. All sorts of ethnic groups now jump on the bandwagon. Some groups even hold their own parades and festivals to add to the celebratory mood. In some places, the celebration has spread to immense proportions. New York, Port Huron, and Los Angeles are all home to huge Cinco de Mayo celebrations.</p>
<p>For those who prefer to celebrate closer to home, it is easy to make their own preparations for the celebration. <p>This article will show you why training to failure is important and how to do it properly. </p>
<p>Pushing your muscles to the limit is the biggest reason we go to the gym.  </p>
<p>I was on the incline bench yesterday lifting a lot heavier weight than usual.  On my third set, as I was coming down, my muscles reached their limit.  If I didn&#8217;t have a spotter, 85 lbs dumb bells would&#8217;ve come crashing onto my face.</p>
<p>I knew I was done with chest for the day, and unlike so many other trainees, I moved on to another exercise after that. </p>
<p>Training to muscle failure means you&#8217;ve recruited just about all of your muscle fibers and they&#8217;ve all failed.  Muscles produce lactic acid when they oxidize (move).  Eventually they reach a limit of saturation and can&#8217;t move anymore. </p>
<p>Micro-tears to most of your muscle allows for maximum growth.  </p>
<p>By damaging 60% of the muscle, only 60% will repair itself.  But damaging 97% of the muscle will cause 97% to repair itself.  The more muscle that repairs itself, the faster you&#8217;ll see significant growth.  Greater repair means greater growth.  The repair may take a little longer, but not significantly longer and you&#8217;ll see more muscle.   </p>
<p>Keep your tempo steady throughout the lift while keeping your technique as good as possible.  Make sure it&#8217;s your muscles failing and not your joints.  Keep a positive attitude and push through the pain until you can&#8217;t perform the movement anymore. </p>
<p>This is a great strategy for maximum muscle growth but it is a little dangerous without a spotter.  Always get someone to spot you on that last set or two when you know you&#8217;re going to give out.  </p>
<p>Your spotter needs to be vigilant as to when you&#8217;re about to fail and you need to communicate your failure point with your spotter. </p>
<p>I would end with the cliche, No Pain, No Gain, but that&#8217;s not exactly true, lol.  So I&#8217;ll just say, Train Hard and Train Smart.</p>

The hustles and bustles of life unwittingly shadowed these serious problems that now, we are afflicted with. We even thought of those Scientists who assiduously coordinate forums about its risks as incongruous people; but the truth is, they are the real illuminators. They cast light to the things that we have been snubbing for a long time. There have been actions to battle this apparently minutiae problem, but still, they are not adequate. We must remember that problems facing the world will not be cleared if only one symptom is cured; a holistic healing is definitely necessary.</p>
<p>Though we carry on deceiving ourselves into thinking that the world fits our ideal vista, the truth will always hit us with a tsunami (literally). Climate change is hard to combat. That is why the more rapid it changes its pace (often faster and to our danger); the more combative we must be in order to prevent it. Since the current Climate Change talks are focused on business (in particular factories and industries), why don&#8217;t we extend its scope into its other parts, the offices. In this nook, a green-minded concept is offering its help- Green Ergonomics.</p>
<p>What is green ergonomics? Green Ergonomics is a coined-term which entails the study of workplace design for the comfort and efficiency of workers infused with social responsibility on the environment. To start the workplace renovation, the changes that may be prominent in a green workplace are the following:</p>
<p>1)	Plants! &#8211; Buildings may drop the humdrum in their designs by adding plants as ornaments to its walls and to its other parts;</p>
<p>2)	Environment friendly office supplies- The materials that may be used are those prepared out of recyclable materials which are environment friendly in all its fibers;</p>
<p>3)	Appliances- The use of low energy consumption (or those that use other sources of energy such as solar, wind, nuclear) is not just helpful to the environment but also to the production costs of the company.</p>
<p>These are just few of the examples. We can still focus ourselves on research and come up with new ones. Besides, if Necessity and Passion are present, an innovation will certainly come out. This may also be attained through the initiative of both the private sector and the government of any society. The government, to encourage such activities, may pass a mandate that states a reinvention of present workplaces into a &#8220;green workplace&#8221;. It is also an reward for the company practicing green ergonomics for it transmits a message to its customers (and would be customers) that it practices Social Responsibility.</p>
<p>Our solution to the ginormous Climate Change problem may be viewed as small; but still, if it can aid, it is sufficient to be called heroic. We are the inhabitants of this precious planet. No one else will take care of her but us. So as her children, may we all find solutions in our respective bailiwicks and hope for her recovery. If we succeed, we have not only found her cure, we also added a new word to our diurnal conversations. That word/s may be the word of the year and the elixir of our planet&#8217;s illness. It is none other than the green-minded concept, Green Ergonomics.</p>

<p>And it&#8217;s not just the fat that&#8217;s the problem. It&#8217;s all the other junk that comes with it, from high blood pressure, to cholesterol, and all kinds of other life-shortening problems.</p>
<p>Why are so many Americans overweight? It wasn&#8217;t always like this. In the old days, most people were generally slim. In order to understand why so many more people are overweight now compared to then, we need to look at two major issues.</p>
<p>In the old days, most people weren&#8217;t lucky enough to sit at a desk all day. Work meant physical labor. Eight hours a day, five days a week.</p>
<p>And even those among us that can find the motivation to hit the gym once or twice a week, the workout is not nearly as strenuous as people&#8217;s eight hour a day jobs of a hundred years ago.</p>
<p>The second, and much more complicated reason is that the food we eat today is vastly different than the food we ate a hundred years ago. Before, most of the food people at was very fresh, and grown locally.</p>
<p>Contrast that to now, when most everything you can find to eat has been processed, chemically altered, and filled with preservatives. This can&#8217;t be good for us.</p>
<p>The biggest problem with this is that it can be darn near impossible to find something to eat that isn&#8217;t laced with chemicals. Even if you do find a natural grocer with locally grown, preservative free food, you&#8217;d have to take out a loan to afford it.</p>
<p>Restaurant food, fast food, and even most of the foods you buy at your local supermarket are filled with chemicals and junk that is just not healthy. And this can cause all kinds of problems to your digestive system.</p>
<p>So it&#8217;s no wonder that more of us aren&#8217;t even fatter than we already are. With little or no exercise, virtually no choice in the food that is available to us, we are left with little hope of becoming thin and healthy without a heroic effort on our part.</p>
<p>The biggest scandal is that there are companies and corporations that are literally making billions and billions of dollars every year on food that makes us, and keeps us fat.</p>
<p>Only by discovering how to eat healthy, non processed food, and purge your system of the remnants of the unhealthy chemicals that you&#8217;ve been fed, can you hope to have a thin and healthy life.</p>
